Video Franchising
About
Make Your Voice Heard
We opened a rulemaking called, "Order Instituting Rulemaking Proceeding to Consider Changes to Requirements on Video Franchisees Under the Digital Infrastructure and Video Competition Act" (Rulemaking 23-04-006), to consider potential new policies and rules. Help us make these policies and rules by sharing your concerns, ideas, recommendations, and experiences in these three ways:
- Attend a public participation hearing (information coming soon)
- Write your input now by clicking on the button “Add Public Comment” near the top of the page at apps.cpuc.ca.gov/c/R2304006
- Become a party to the rulemaking: Rulemaking 23-04-006 (You can learn how to become a party at How to Become a Party to a Proceeding)
The CPUC’s Consumer Affairs Branch also regularly listens to, tracks, and facilitates resolution of consumers’ complaints with utilities. You can submit a complaint at https://www.cpuc.ca.gov/complaints to get assistance in resolving customer service issues. You can then check the status of your complaint by going to this online complaint portal. The information you provide will be valuable data for decision-makers and legislators in creating future policies and rules that businesses with video franchises must follow.
