Karin Sung

Karin Sung serves as Chief of Staff and Legal Advisor to Commissioner Houck. At California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC), Karin served as an advisor to Commissioner Rechtschaffen and a senior energy analyst in the Renewable Gas and Building Decarbonization team of Energy Division. Prior to CPUC, she worked as a mechanical engineer for Intel Corporation, Los Angeles Department of Water and Power, and Senior Aerospace SSP. Karin holds a B.A. in English Literature from UCLA, an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Boston University, and a law degree from Lewis and Clark Law School. Karin started her professional career in the music industry, working at record labels, managing bands, touring, and producing an international music festival.
